This was my first visit to California dreaming and the experience was awesome. We were seated in a timely manner. Food was delicious and the service was wonderful
Trendy hip mall place. Salad was good. All the beautiful ppl of Gulf Shores frequent the place. It's in the MALL so I don't see the need for outdoor seating unless you're still smoking and then why not go to Waffle House?!
I have Always had a pleasant experience here; until tonight. My husband and I pulled up the hours of operation while on our way home from Mobile. The information states that they are open until 1 a.m. We arrived at about 11:40 And went in. We were not greeted and no one said anything to us until we'd made it up to the far end of the bar, where three employees were chatting. I said that the online Google info lists that they are open, but noted that the door signage reads that only the bar is open until 1. He expressed that the kitchen was indeed closed. There needs to be consistency on all areas of marketing and the employees need to be reminded that the standard of greeting/welcoming guests applies from the moment the restaurant opens, until it is closed for the day.
I was a little skeptical about a resturant called California Dreaming, in Alabama, but this is what I experienced. Great food. Great service. Great environment. What more could a person ask for? I'll be back!
Typically we enjoy eating here. We decided to drop in for lunch. the "Greeter" never smiled and was inattentive. We decided to sit outside. The waitress only visited our table once and we were never offered a child's seat for our baby so we held her the entire time. This is the worst experience we have had. The food was even sub-par this time. Disappointed.
